We’ve been using the twinkl resources website since last summer (you can read our twinkl review here), and we’ve really been enjoying it. From time to time we get caught up in everyday life, but just as I start to think about an upcoming holiday or celebration I get a perfectly timed email about once a month from twinkl with links to their resources for the upcoming special days.
There are so many resources on the twinkl site that you’ll never have an excuse not to have a beautifully decorated classroom, daycare, or home year-round. In our home we’re focussing on Chinese New Year celebrations this week, and twinkl resources have some fantastic items to help us out.
We’ve watched the Powerpoint, printed the number character flashcards, and over the weekend my children have been busy making paper dragons.
I’m also starting to get the children informed and excited about the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Twinkl resources also has an ocean of Olympic-themed ideas, including Powerpoints, display banners, writing frames and activities that we’ll be using for sure. I better double-check our printer ink to make sure we have extra. But if we don’t, most of the twinkl resources are also available in black and white versions as well that look just as sharp and then the kids can have some fun colouring!
If you’d like to see more about twinkl, check out their website-there are lots of free ideas so you can see the quality of their resources. If you’re a school faculty member, your school can also have a 1 month trial of twinkl free.
See our reviews page for more ways we’ve used twinkl, or our Multicultural Ideas For Kids for more worldly learning fun.
