Where oh where is the summer going?! It’s zooming on by so quickly here with more great activities for the children than usual and our days have been so busy that I’ve been falling asleep at the wheel (not in the car…but in the middle of the day and hours earlier at night). You may have caught our post about one of the ways we upcycle our packing bubbles from Degustabox into super-easy sit-upons, and today I’m back to show you what was in our summer Degustabox.

In fact, we were so busy that we had to have the summer Degustabox delivered to a pick-up point and then swing by there after a morning of pond dipping and bug catching in the pouring rain. We were very wet, and tired when we arrived at the pick up point just as the delivery was being taken off the truck. I’m telling you, this box was heavy! And it was a task walking uphill almost a mile with two wet kids and a slippery box in the rain…was it worth the effort….
Summer Degustabox Favourites:
Each month we feature our top picks in the box. Of course, these choices are based on our own tastes, so I’d love to hear what your favourites are, just pop them down in the comments at the end of this post.
The Three Cheese Ryvita Thins were so delicious that they were gone in no time! We had them just plain as they are (I love crackers even more than cookies), but dipped in a little salsa they would be just like little mini pizzas!
Crafted fruit juice drink was such a treat and was perfect for the hot sunny days we’ve had during our town festival. We’ve enjoyed the drink just as it is, but I’ve also made some refreshing popscicles/ice lollies to cool us down after a day out playing mini golf or watching the raft races. The flavour is strong enough that it works really well this way!

Blossom Hill Spritz, okay, it’s no secret that Blossom Hill is my favourite wine, and has been for many years. I haven’t yet tried this drink (I’m waiting for next week’s date night that’s right before payday so we have a little something special to look forward to).
I’m going to add Randoms to this list….I can say that they were Phil’s favourite as I had told him not to touch them until I had a photo of them. The next night I heard some crinkling, and then the next day when I went to get them for a photo….they were gone! Yes, Phil knew I needed them, yet couldn’t resist…so we had to buy another for the photos. I wonder if Phil noticed that they had 30% less sugar than usual?
The kids had their favourites, too:
My children may be a little strange, but they’re absolutely crazy about mustard! We’ve previously written about Maille in this recipe, and they’ve been hooked ever since. They also like to use Maille Dijon Original in their sandwiches – no, a sandwich just won’t do without one (or even both) varieties.
Making a second appearance in our Degustabox is Oloves Healthy Olive Snacks, which again, is a favourite of Tristan’s. He likes them just as they are, while I prefer a little cheese with them. Tristan is great at making lunch, and this photo was all his doing!
Breakfast is an important part of the day, and one of my children’s favourite 3 meals! Weetabix is a treat for them, os they were very pleased indeed, with the Weetabix Additions Coconut & Raisin. They said there were lots of raisins, and not too much coconut, and it filled them up until their next favourite meal, lunch!

New This Month:
New this month was the inclusion of The Brekkie Times, a new 4-page newspaper/leaflet with a voucher for a free tub of yoghurt, a recipe, a word search, trivia, ways to get active, and more. I love little things like this that I can browse while waiting for the laptop to power up, and the kids love a fun word search, so we rate it a keeper.
