I hope everyone has had an enjoyable week. We had some lovely sun over the weekend and enjoyed a family walk by the sea and over the hill to visit some tadpoles before going for an ice cream treat. We also managed some 1-2-1 time with the kids and we’ve been busy with lots of crafts. Not a bad way to spend a long weekend if you ask me! It’s tough getting back into the blogging routine again, but with sunshine and artistry on my mind, what else could I feature but artwork: painting without brushes sounds like lots of fun for an afternoon with the children – or make it a whole day, or a week!

Painting Without Brushes
Sparkling Buds have made these beautiful wet on wet watercolor flowers, which remind me of a school project we saw the last time we were in Canada. I think we may try it next month one sunny day outside.
the fairy and the frog are brave in my books! I love these egg paint bombs process art…and hope to overcome my fears of big messes by giving it a try this summer. It could be fun for a birthday party we have coming up!
Where Imagination Grows has used cardboard meant for the recycling box and reused them for art!
Kids Activities Blog has the coolest science experiment that turns into art! How fun does this process look!

I have a friend who is a printmaker so we can do this to help the kids understand what he does!

Those painting activities look like so much fun! My kids love to paint, but normally we do it with brushes.

We usually use brushes, too – though we do have sponges, spatter screens, and a few other things about we haven’t yet tried…You and I will be busy with the kids this summer 🙂

I love the finished project, it’s stunning! I’ve been holding off on a similar project we saw 2 years ago, but maybe the kids are ready now…if not, then I’ll have some fun myself! This was a great reminder, thanks for linking up!
