Mummy Hot Dogs

October 28, 2012 by Crystal McClean

As promised, here is another great adaptation for the bread stick recipe I shared a couple of days ago.  These Mummy hot dogs are a real winner with children and would make a perfect Halloween party food.

Mummy Hot Dog

Make the basic bread stick recipe from my post on Bone Yard Bread Sticks, and follow along until you have the long ‘worms’ of dough.  During this step, take one of these worms and wrap it around a frankfurter/wiener/sausage in the form of wrapping a mummy, leaving a little gap where the eyes will go later.

Put the Mummy hot dogs straight into a pre-heated oven until they are nice and golden and the frank has been cooked through.

Remove from the oven and add a dab of mustard, or your favourite condiment for the eyes.
