We’re still engrossing in watching the Winter Olympics in our household. We didn’t see any on Tuesday and it’s been missed. But we were itching for some exercise of our own and took the opportunity to go out for a walk while it wasn’t raining. We’ve been receiving a lot of severe weather here so we haven’t been out much other than for appointments. I think after being soaked through so often the past three weeks the children deserve a little sleep in tomorrow and a special breakfast. While looking through the spectacular ideas submitted last week, I’ve chosen the morning munchies as my theme for this week. So grab your apron and settle in for some morning meal delights. If you’re looking for Winter Olympic activities for kids , check out my features from last week’s Mom’s Library.

Mums Make Lists, lists 100 pancake toppings to keep in mind with the approaching Shrove Tuesday on March 4th this year. I think I’ll try a new topping…or maybe two, or three, or….
We’ve been doing some foraging over the last year, but I’m so envious of having a maple syrup tree so close! See how the (Mis)Adventures of a “Born Again” Farm Girl makes her homemade maple syrup.
Sorting Sprinkles has made this adorable bear that is almost too cute to devour! It’s a part of her Forest Animals for Toddlers post with lots of other activities to keep you busy throughout the day.
JDaniel4sMom has a delicious looking apple sauce bar that would be great as a snack, or have your bar do double-duty and add them to your pancakes or porridge. Lots of mealtime fun to be had for everyone!

I thought I’d add in our own breakfast cereal snack from last week. Our edible friendship bracelets and necklaces. As fun to make as they are to eat!
