Disney Art Therapy Books For Kids

March 28, 2016 by Crystal McClean

Do you have a little Frozen or Disney Princess fan in the house?  Kallista just loves everything to do with these, from pajamas to dress-up clothes to movies and books.  Now I have just the thing to keep her busy and happy while I’m working with Tristan on his English work.  Parragon Publishing has sent her two lovely colouring books with just this theme.

Kallista knew there was something coming for her in the post, but she didn’t know what.  When it arrived during a rainstorm, it brightened her mood.  She immediately opened the package and pulled out a book….It was a Disney Frozen Art Therapy Colouring Book!

Next she put her hand back into the package and pulled out Disney Princess Art Therapy Colouring Book!

She was so delighted!  She just didn’t know which book to start with!  She chose to get going on the Frozen book right away, and even got out of bed early this morning so she could work on it!

Each book has over 100 pages of colouring fun.  They’ll be a fun way for Kallista to hone up on her fine motor skills and concentration.  She’s already been thinking about colour choices and sequencing the colours.

My only concern is that in a few of the small cropped pictures of the princesses, it almost looks like they have a bum crack – it may just be a fold at the back of their dress, but it’s unfortunate in how it comes across.  Butt, Kallista hasn’t paid attention to it and just likes to colour.

In addition to these two books, Parragon also sent along a cute cardboard bunny craft for the kids to do, which is just one of the 80 projects in the brand new Make it by the Book.

This project looks like so much fun!  I’ll admit that the kids haven’t yet completed this craft as we only just received it 2 days ago and they’ve been busy on other projects.  However, I am going to tuck this little gem into our Easter craft box so that we can bring it out next spring and have something to look forward to.  I love bringing the box out each year full of new goodies for the kids to work on!  This book has lots of year-round crafts to do so i you’re looking for new craft ideas for the kids, check it out!

If you’re interested in purchasing these books, here are a couple of quick (affiiate) links if you’re in the UK.  It doesn’t yet look like these have been released in the USA, but when I see them, I’ll provide those links as well.

I’m afraid I’m not following you…can you elaborate?
My photos show the cover of the book on the left, and a sample of one set of pages on the right.
