We’re half way between Christmas and Easter, and personally, I’m feeling somewhat blah. The dark days are finally starting to lengthen, but I’m afraid my waistline is as well….
What is a dechox? For the month of March, myself and thousands more are going to go without chocolate! For the whole month of March.
I’m convinced I’m addicted to sugar, so I’m not just giving up chocolate, but for at least a week I’ll also be going without sugar-added foods for the first week. And since I’m doing this, I thought I may as well go without caffeine this week as well. So no comforting cups of tea for me. This might prove to be just as difficult!
So if you see me out and about this month, please keep me away from the chocolate isles in the shops, for I know me, and if I buy an enticing bar “for next month” it will be gone by the end of the day!
Seriously though, this is a fun fundraiser for a great cause and one that is close to my ‘heart’, as I know of many people who have been helped through the research, information, and support that the British Heart Foundation provides.
I’d love to have some company this month, so please join in and we can help each other through the rough patches…there are even official ways we can ‘sneak a treat’!
If you’d like to support me in my quest (any amount will help, even the price of a small chocolate bar), as well as the British Heart Foundation, I’d love for you to give a donation via my Just Giving Page by clicking the link below. Follow along with me on Facebook and Twitter for more updates!
